MISSISSAUGA, Ontario — Food processors attending the Top 50 Packaging Ideas Trade Expo are invited to visit the Linde Canada Limited booth where Linde food experts will be highlighting MAPAX® line of modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) gases that help extend shelf-life and maintain the quality of packaged prepared foods. The Expo will be held at the Mississauga Conference Centre on June 7.
Linde Canada Limited, a member of The Linde Group, a world leading gases and engineering company.
"Linde Canada recently introduced its MAPAX line of gases and gas mixtures to the food processing market to help meet the increasing demand for packaged prepared foods in Canada," said Christian Lafleur, Head of Sales for Linde Canada. "So far, processors have given MAPAX great reviews."
The MAPAX solution inhibits the deterioration of food in a natural way by combining the correct pure gas or gas mixture of nitrogen, carbon dioxide and oxygen to keep products fresh and appetizing and help reduce returns due to spoilage. "It is ideal for trayed, bagged and pouched products, and can often extend the practical shelf life of fresh foods typically by 200% or more compared with packaging in air," Lafleur said.
Linde cryogenic gases experts will also be discussing the benefits of its line of food freezing and chilling technology and equipment:
- The Linde line of carbon dioxide snow horns, which provide on-demand chilling, are a cost-effective method to accurately control temperature conditions in food chilling operations, replacing the use of dry ice pellets.
- The CRYOLINE® MT in-line continuous tunnel freezer that uses either liquid nitrogen or carbon dioxide, depending on your food product and production needs.
- Linde's ACCU-CHILL® Bottom Injection system quickly and efficiently reduces the temperature of ground food products by injecting liquid carbon dioxide or nitrogen into the mixers, blenders or tumblers.
"I'm confident that visitors to our booth will find their time well spent and will be impressed with Linde's broad range of cryogenic gases technology, equipment and services for food processors," said Lafleur.
