Winners will be announced at a red-carpet ceremony June 30, 2014. A sofi™ is the top honor in the $88 billion specialty food industry and represents the best of the best from members of the Specialty Food Association.
Bloc de Foie Gras de Canard Gets Red Carpet Honors
Les Trois Petits Cochons' Bloc de Foie Gras de Canard was named a Finalist for Outstanding Meat, Pâté or Seafood and was one of 109 Finalists selected by a national panel of specialty food professionals. “We are thrilled our Bloc de Foie Gras de Canard made it to the finals,” says Alain Sinturel, owner of Les Trois Petits Cochons. “Our customers tell us this is one of their favorites, and we are delighted the judges liked it too.” Bloc de Foie Gras de Canard is made with pure foie gras – a highly prized delicacy of the southwest region of France – Sauternes wine, cognac and spices.
The 3 Pigs Marketplace & New Products
This year Les Trois Petits Cochons also debuted their new online Marketplace in association with iGourmet.com. Here consumers can purchase elegant gift baskets filled with Les Trois Petits Cochons’ most desirable selections of pâté, cured meats and other savory indulgences.
New to Les Trois Petits Cochons line this year are the Rillettes de Porc. The 7 ounce size of this product is produced with no added hormones or antibiotics. The 3.2 ounce Rillettes de Porc is packaged in a glass jar. The 5.5 ounce Mousse aux Poivrons, made with chicken liver and roasted red peppers, is a new addition to Les Trois Petits Cochons very popular mousse selections. Mousse aux Poivrons is also produced with no added hormones or antibiotics and is pork-free. Les Trois Petits Cochons also has a new charcuterie item, Petit Jambon de Paris, available in a smaller six pound size.
