MARSHFIELD, Wis., Jan. 11 — Figi’s Business Services Inc., a subsidiary of Figi’s, Inc., a leader in direct-to-consumer mail-order food gifts, today named the Greenwood Group, a leader in marketing strategies for the consumer packaged goods industry as their partner to promote Figi’s multi-component food gifts to the retail market. Greenwood Group’s sales teams will gain increased market presence for Figi’s and build greater brand equity in the retail sector.
Figi’s new retail products are specially adapted from the company’s best selling food gifts featured in their Gifts in Good Taste catalog title. The retail line includes gifts featuring old-fashioned candy tins, meat and cheese assortments, Figi’s chocolate shoppe and a variety of snack packs. Ideal for merchandising as “Last Minute Gift Ideas,” it’s a perfect fit for retailers who cater to cost-conscious consumers looking for high-quality products for themselves, friends and family.
“Figi’s is such an established and well-received brand,” says Patrick O’Leary, president of Greenwood Group. “Consumers in every state are aware of Figi’s and the fine quality it represents. We are so pleased to bring Figi’s to the retail marketplace because of its incredible product offerings backed up with great customer service. We’ll use research & prior experience to determine the right Figi’s items for the mass market environment, and then work to create successful retailer partnerships. We know the consumer will love it — they’ve loved Figi’s since 1944.”
Figi’s partnership with Greenwood Group comes as the company celebrates its 65th anniversary.
“In the 65 years since John Figi delivered his first mail-order cheese products to the post office in a little red wagon, food gifts have grown into a multi-billion dollar piece of the consumer gift market industry,” says Jim Krueger, president of Figi’s. “Not only are we excited to bring the Figi’s brand to our customers via new retail outlets, we’re also equally excited to have Greenwood Group bring the Figi’s tradition of quality food gifts to new audiences as well.”
In addition to placing Figi’s products in traditional brick and mortar stores, Greenwood Group will also position Figi’s food gifts as ideal add-ons for retailers’ ecommerce platforms. Orders placed on-line at a retailer’s ecommerce site will be transmitted to Figi’s to be packaged and shipped directly to the customer.
