DDBC Dinner Meeting & Tribute To The City Of Hope, July 7th

Please plan on joining us for a special DDBC Dinner to pay special tribute to the City of Hope.  The DDBC has been a huge supporter of the City of Hope since the inception of the DDBC in 1960, and the relationship has flourished ever since. Over the years, the food industry has supported the City of Hope through its various industry committees and the Southern California Food Industry Circle has helped to raise over $145 Million in support of the City of Hope in the past 40 years.

We will be having a special guest Speaker from the City of Hope – Dr. Joseph Alvernas, who has worked at the City of Hope’s Banner Transplant Program which he helped to co-found.  Dr. Alvernas is a national co-chair for two Bone Marrow Transplant Clinical Trials Networks studying stem cell transplantation in HIV infected patients, along with many other important committees and boards. Don’t miss hearing about the cutting edge technology and advancements that in City of Hope continues to make in the advances in the research, treatment and care of cancer patients.

In support of this event, we are asking for donations to support a special Silent Auction which the proceeds will go to the City of Hope and the DDBC Scholarship Fund. We’d ask all of our DDBC Member companies consider donating 1-2 items in support of these two great causes. Please contact Susan Steele, DDBC Executive Director for additional information to coordinate any donations that your company would be willing to provide, at the number or e-mail address shown below.

In addition, we will be awarding two very deserving DDBC Members with the DDBC “Big Cheese” Award:

Luke Abbott of Monterrey – The Natural Choice, will be our May 2015 Big Cheese award winner.

Emily Aguilar of Daisy Brand, will be our June 2015 Big Cheese award winner.

Please join us at our July 7th DDBC Dinner Meeting to congratulate Luke and Emily and to show support for the City of Hope and the DDBC Scholarship Fund.
