All 6 Indian meals are now certified Gluten Free by International Certification Services, Inc. ?(ICS).? "We're excited to take this important step, be transparent with our customers and provide assurance that our gluten free products comply with strict gluten free standards," said Sameer Malhotra Co-founder and President of Cafe Spice. "In the coming months, we'll be adding other products to our gluten free certificate, such as our artisan Indian soups and vegetable bhajias."
The ICS Gluten Free logo verifies that Cafe Spice takes extra care to ensure the integrity of their gluten free claims. That care translates into a stringent Gluten Free program which includes:
- annual inspections by ICS of Cafe Spice's facility
- regular testing for gluten of all ingredients and products
- prior ICS approval for all ingredients in our gluten free products (no matter how small the usage)
- review and approval by ICS of any packaging with gluten free statements
