BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Brooklyn Cured, maker of innovative and sustainable charcuterie, is proud to announce that its Dirty Martini Salami and Bourbon & Sour Cherries (The Manhattan) Salami have both been named finalists for the Specialty Food Association’s (SFA) 2027 sofi™ Awards, an annual celebration of the best specialty food products of the year.
Standing for “specialty outstanding food innovation,” the sofi Awards have spotlighted excellence in specialty food and beverage since 1972. Brooklyn Cured’s recognition follows its 2024 sofi Award win for its meat and cheese Snack Packs, further underscoring the brand’s commitment to creative product development and innovation in the charcuterie category.
“The recognition as a sofi Gold Award finalist for not one, but two of our Cocktail-Inspired Salamis is a tremendous honor,” said Brooklyn Cured Marketing Manager Katie Milani. “We take pride in the innovation and quality of our products. This recognition is proof that we are redefining the charcuterie category one product line at a time.”
The Dirty Martini Salami and Bourbon & Sour Cherries (The Manhattan) Salami stood out among more than 1,000 entries judged by an expert panel of specialty food buyers in a rigorous blind-tasting process. Products were evaluated based on flavor, appearance, texture, aroma, ingredient quality and innovation. The 75 products that received the highest marks across these criteria advanced as Gold Award finalists.
SFA will announce the 2027 sofi Award winners during a live ceremony on Jan. 17 at the Winter FancyFaire* trade show in San Francisco. The three-day show will also highlight all 75 finalists through a special product showcase and curated buyer opportunities.
“Each year, our expert judges are blown away by the craft, quality, and innovation of the sofi Award finalists, who set the tone for the industry in the coming year,” said Bill Lynch, president of SFA. “Congratulations to Brooklyn Cured and all the 2027 finalists. We can’t wait to celebrate you at Winter FancyFaire*!”
Brooklyn Cured’s Cocktail-Inspired collection offers a distinctive twist on traditional salami, bringing sophistication and happy-hour inspiration to the snack table.
