New York— Importer Best Cheese Corporation closed out 2011 with a gold, silver and bronze medal from the largest international cheese competition, the World Cheese Awards. The winners include:
- Uniekaas Hollandse Chèvre (Gold) Made from 100% goat’s milk, Uniekaas Hollandse Chèvre has a rich tangy flavor and a smooth creamy texture resembling a classic Dutch Gouda. Imported from Holland.
- Epiros Original Feta (Silver) Following traditional Greek Feta recipes, Epiros Original Greek Feta is a blend of sheep and goat’s milk making the cheese’s flavor ultracreamy with a salty undertone. Imported from Greece
- Parrano (Bronze) – “The Cheese From Holland that thinks is Italian”, Aged for 5 months, Parrano blends two of the world’s greatest cheeses; Gouda and Parmigiano Reggiano. A perfect balance of a smooth and creamy Gouda with the nutty flavor and buttery aroma of a Parmigiano Reggiano. Imported from Holland.
All the three cheeses were showcased at the 2012 Winter Fancy Food Show.
