Avonlea Clothbound Cheddar Takes Top Spot At World Cheese Awards

They like it, they really like it! Cheese from Prince Edward Island has once again taken top awards in a major competition that included more than 2,600 cheeses from 33 countries.

Avonlea Clothbound Cheddar, made by Cows Creamery on PEI, won SuperGold at the World Cheese Awards at the 28th annual BBC Good Food Show Winter that took place in Birmingham, England from Nov. 26 to 28.

It was given top marks in the Vintage Cheddar category and named one of the top 16 cheeses in the world.
