PEMBROKE — After undertaking construction of a new production facility down the road in 2015, Yancey’s Fancy now plans to renovate and expand the original Kutter’s Cheese facility to add additional production capacity.
The artisan cheesemaker, which has successfully added the 50 jobs pledged for its $20 million Buffalo East Technology Park facility, intends to create 15 more as part of a $5.5 million capital investment at the space that started the agribusiness’ rise.
According to an application going before the Genesee County Economic Development Center Thursday, Yancey’s Fancy will add 6,000 square-feet to the 857 Main Road campus used for delivery, production, aging and export of natural cheeses.
