Colorado's newest public company made its debut on the New York Stock Exchange Friday, but WhiteWave Foods Co. put in a less-than-impressive performance on opening day.
Broomfield-based WhiteWave (NYSE: WWAV) — maker of Horizon Organic dairy products, Silk soy milk and International Delight coffee creamers — opened Friday's session at $19 a share, above the initial public offering price of $17, and hit a high of $19.17.
But the share price soon sank under $17, and the stock closed at $16.75. (Click here for a live quote from Yahoo Finance.)
