Velvet Ice Cream Widens Availability

UTICA — Velvet Ice Cream continues to carve out a bigger and bigger scoop of
the market, expanding its operations in northern Ohio and Indiana.

The 96-year-old company recently announced partnerships with Acme Fresh Market,
Rite Aid Pharmacy and Ricker’s Convenience Stores as part of its plan to become
the premier ice cream brand in the Midwest.

The Utica-based company’s products now appear in 231 Rite Aid stores in Ohio and
Indiana, 16 independent Acme stores in Akron, Canton and Cleveland and 28
Ricker’s stores in Fort Wayne and Anderson, Ind.
