Scotsburn Completes Sale To Saputo

Scotsburn Co-operative Services Ltd. announced Monday it has completed the sale of its fluid milk division in Atlantic Canada to Montreal-based Saputo Inc.

The Pictou County co-operative said it will continue to operate its ice cream and frozen novelty business across Canada.

“This is good news for our co-operative members who will see immediate and long-term benefits from Scotsburn’s growth and innovation strategy focused on ice cream and frozen novelty products,” Doug Ettinger, president and chief executive officer at Scotsburn, said in a news release.
