RAVENNA, Neb. — The closure of dairy packaging operation owned by a Wisconsin company will cost nearly 70 people their jobs in the central Nebraska town of Ravenna.
Authorities say the Schreiber Foods operation will be closed by the end of February. The closing apparently won’t affect workers at Leprino Foods, who share the building and make the cheese that Schreiber packages.
Television station KHGI reports that (http://bit.ly/PLVEse) Schreiber Foods says it’s closing the operation because new equipment the company wants to install will need more room than is available at the Ravenna site.
