PLYMOUTH, Wis. – Sargento Foods CEO Louie Gentine announced the company is planning a major expansion of 60,000 square feet adjacent to its Hilbert, Wisconsin facility.
The existing plant is located on Highway 57 and was last remodeled and expanded in 2011. Sargento Foods produces products for retail, food service and ingredients at this location.
“Sargento remains steadfast in our commitment to growing in Wisconsin,” Louie said. “We look forward to increasing our facilities in Hilbert to add production capacity.”
The plant currently employs 135 people and expects to add 140 incremental jobs.
Construction will begin during the fourth quarter of 2015 with occupancy expected by late 2016.
Sargento Foods also operates production facilities in Plymouth, Wisconsin, and Kiel, Wisconsin, and a technical center in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. Kiel and Elkhart Lake facilities are also currently under expansion construction that began earlier this year.
