Parmalat Canada Celebrates Innovation & Originality With Best New Product Awards

TORONTO, ONTARIO – Parmalat Canada is celebrating its continued commitment to producing outstanding high-quality and original dairy products. In 2010 several of the company's yogurt and cheese products were recognized with the distinction of best new product. This substantiates Parmalat Canada's commitment to quality and innovation while contributing to the overall health and wellness of Canadians.

Parmalat Canada's Astro Zer0%™ Superfruit yogurt  was recently crowned with three Best New Product distinctions: Best New Yogurt ; Best in Food & Beverage and Best in Show at the 2010 Best New Product Awards presented by BrandSpark International. Highlighting Parmalat Canada's commitment to product originality and innovation, Astro Zer0%™ Superfruit yogurt  was the first in-market to offer superfruit flavours in Canada. The yogurt boasts unique flavours not found in other fat free yogurt s including Acai Raspberry, Mango Medley and Cherry Pomegranate. Superfruit is a fast-growing and popular yogurt segment in Canada with other yogurt  manufacturers now following suit.

Astro BioBest Maximmunite™ Apricot Mango probiotic shot was also awarded Best New Beverage at the Best New Product Awards. Balderson™ has a long standing history of first place awards and Grand Championships to its credit, most recently receiving first place awards for Mild, Medium and Double Smoked Cheddar at the 2009 British Empire Cheese Competition and first place awards for Mild and Marble Cheddar at the 2009 Royal Winter Fair.
