MCMINNVILLE, Ore. – The nation’s largest organic dairy cooperative announced it is buying McMinnville-based Farmers Creamery Cooperative.
Wisconsin-based Organic Valley said in a news release that the McMinnville creamery will close for renovations and reopen by late winter or early spring. Additional details of the sale were not immediately available.
The Capital Press reports that Organic Valley represents more than 1,800 farmers in 36 states, and has 72 co-op members in Oregon and Washington.
