SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Pennsylvania Dairy Promotion Program board member Doug Sattazahn of Zahncroft Dairy, Wolmesdorf, Pa., participated in the grand opening of The Training Table Powered by Refuel with Chocolate Milk inside the WFSF Bank Sportsplex Café in Philadelphia.

The event highlighted the multi-year partnership with Pennsylvania Dairy Promotion Program and the Philadelphia Union, the professional men’s soccer team, that focuses on a shared commitment to sustainable business practices and the nutritional value of milk and dairy products.

“Having the Training Table Powered by Refuel with Chocolate Milk inside the Sportsplex Café is an incredible opportunity to share Pennsylvania dairy products with athletes and sports fans,” Sattazahn said. “With this partnership, athletes young and old will benefit from the nutrition provided by locally produced milk.”

At the grand opening, Sattazahn and son Easton helped cut the ribbon on the café and distributed 200 bottles of chocolate milk to the athletes and fans in attendance. The Philadelphia Union-owned WSFS Bank Sportsplex, located next to Subaru Park, the team’s home stadium, is a state-of-the-art building with seven outdoor fields used by professional and academy teams, as well as community-based adult and youth sports groups.

Pennsylvania’s dairy farmers are sponsors of the Philadelphia Union and are an entitlement partner of the WSFS Bank Sportsplex Café, where Pennsylvania dairy products will be sold. The sponsorship also includes onsite activations during promotional theme nights at Subaru Park throughout the season.
