PHOENIX — Utah's Judge Memorial Boys Basketball team has proven they have what it takes to train with the pros. Their dedication, discipline, teamwork and winning record has earned them the title of Rockin' Refuel's "Most Rockin" Team, and a trip to train at St. Vincent Sports Performance in Indianapolis, one of the country's premier athletic training facilities that trains more than 300 professional and amateur athletes. Rockin' Refuel protein-fortified chocolate milk is the exclusive post-workout recovery drink served at St. Vincent Sports Performance because athletes love the taste and the 2:1 carb to protein ratio, ideal for maximum muscle recovery.
ESPN analyst Jay Bilas teamed up with Rockin' Refuel to launch the national "Most Rockin" team contest to recognize one winning team. Contestants were judged by their competitive spirit, teamwork and the originality of essay entry. Other entries included a football team from Aberdeen, Md., a cheerleading squad from Phoenix, and a track & field team from Thorntown, Ind.
Bilas said, "There were many great entries, but Judge Memorial's entry stood out because of their fight to win and their no-quit philosophy. It's a great group of kids and we're happy to give them this honor."
The team will visit St. Vincent Sports Performance for a two-day basketball fantasy camp. While there they'll attend practices with professional basketball players, conduct drills designed to increase their speed and agility and meet with registered dietitians to learn about proper pre-game and post-game nutrition to enhance their game performance.
"It's an honor to be recognized for our hard work, and the whole team looks forward to learning from the top tier trainers at St. Vincent," said Coach Dan Del Porto. "We have a great tradition at Judge but this once in a lifetime experience is an amazing opportunity our team going into this year's season."
