JACKSON, Wyo. — Teton County health officials will consider a grocer's proposal to sell unpasteurized milk after inspectors forced the store to discontinue the practice three months ago.
The Teton County Board of Health will discuss the proposal Tuesday morning from Jackson Whole Grocer. The store says it wants to sell raw milk from a distributor in Idaho.
Wyoming health officials say raw milk can carry food-borne illnesses but Jackson Whole Grocer officials say the unpasteurized milk has health benefits and there is a demand for it.
