Borden milk has made a move on Houston, hoping to seduce shoppers here with a brand-new line of milks that aren't available anywhere else in the country. Borden Life! is the newest product line from the 153-year-old company, which offers Borden milk in four new choices: Protein, Calcium, Multi-Vitamin, and Fiber.
Although the company is headquartered in Dallas, Borden chose Houston as its first market for launching the milk. "Borden believes Houston is a strong dairy market, with a broad retailer and consumer population," the company stated in a press release. More to the point, it said: "The Borden Dairy operation in Houston has great capability to launch four new products at once."
The new line of milks comes in familiar-looking white containers that mimic another product line sold with added nutrients: orange juice. Whether this is intentional or deliberate is unknown, but the plastic jugs certainly don't look like any standard milk cartons — something that's sure to catch a shopper's eye.
