PHILADELPHIA –  Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association is pleased to announce Gail Street as Vice President of Marketing Communications. In this newly-created position, Street will oversee the Marketing Communications team and educate consumers on the value of dairy products by integrating nutritional information, marketing communications and public relations, as well as traditional and social media. Additionally, the team will work closely with others in the organization to produce and execute a fully-integrated communications program for the organization.

Gail Street, vice president of marketing communications for Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association, will direct the marketing communications team in educating consumers on the value of dairy products through traditional and social media.

During her communications career, Street has worked for a variety of entities, including the American Pharmacists Association, McDonald’s®, SUPERVALU®, Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield® Delaware and U.S. Sen. Barbara A. Mikulski of Maryland. She began her career as a television news reporter in the Midwest, including Chicago and Milwaukee, after receiving her master’s degree in communications at the University of Illinois.

For more than 20 years, Street has been responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of a full range of marketing communications programs that enhanced and protected the reputations of corporate and non-profit clients, political figures and government agencies, as well as programs to promote corporate missions and increase media awareness.

“Through the years I have learned the importance of excellent customer service and innovative grass roots marketing,” Street said. “Whether operating my own McDonald’s hamburger franchise or supervising marketing communications activities at several retail grocery chains, I understand how important it is to focus on the needs of the consumer.”

Street said she is honored to have a job that allows her to represent the region’s dairy farmers. “I firmly believe that Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association’s marketing communications activities will help to positively position the value of dairy foods to consumers, health professionals and the media,” she said.
