Select Milk Products, Inc. announced Friday afternoon that they would investing $250 million dollars to buy and repurpose the former denim mill site in Littlefield. Mayor Eric Turpen says the city is very grateful for the opportunity.
"Our community is extremely excited in this project and in this company's investment to this plant, to the region, and to the impacts it will have," Turpen says.
This will bring more business to the town of Littlefield.
"This is a support facility that's going to anchor this area and West Texas and show that we can become one of the major dairy exporters in the world," says Donald De Jong, Vice Chairman of Select Milk Producers, Inc.
