Doorstep Dairy Products Have A Modern Moment As They Recall The Past

With a clink of bottles, 10-year-old Lillie Hornung and her 7-year-old sister, Sadie, pulled fresh milk from a box on their front porch in Forty Fort on Monday morning.
It was the kind of scene that, for decades, their grandparents took for granted.
But during the past 30 years their parents — and the rest of society — tended to forget it was even possible a delivery person could bring farm-fresh milk, in traditional glass bottles no less, to your home by sunrise.
Thanks to The Lands at Hillside Farms of Kingston Township and EIO Home Delivery Service, dairy products at the doorstep are more than a memory. The tradition has returned to Northeastern Pennsylvania, and customers are enthusiastic.
