"We don't buy a lot of butter just because the price is pretty ridiculous," he said.
According to a Purdue agricultural economist, the dairy industry has started a slow rebound from low prices in 2009 and early 2010, with many prices on the rise, particularly butter, milk and ice cream.
"There has been an upward trend," agricultural economist Nicole Olynk said. That's been particularly true of butter.
