Chobani Says Court Ban On Yoplait Ads Restricts Free Speech

Upstate New York yogurt maker Chobani says that a federal judge’s recent decision to ban the company’s negative ads about Yoplait Greek 100 included restricts free speech.

Chobani says that some of the language in the decision is too broad, and essentially restricts Chobani from making statements that other yogurt makers are allowed to make.

For instance, one of the stipulations is that Chobani not use the term “no bad stuff” when it comes to any General Mills products, including Yoplait Greek 100. General Mills owns the Yoplait brand and other yogurt brands.
