Los Angeles, Calif. – Califia Farms, the leading producer of premium, plant-powered beverages, has extended the reach of its premium Almondmilk product line with a nationwide rollout of its Almondmilk Coffee Creamers in Whole Foods Markets. The Coffee Creamers are available in four flavors: Original, Hazelnut, Pecan and Caramel.
The new line of creamers are a natural extension of Califia Farms’ premiumization revolution in plant-powered beverages: the company is the fastest-growing natural beverage company, the leader in the natural products’ coffee drinks category, and known for formulating the industry’s best tasting almond milks.
Made from real almond cream, Califia Farms Almondmilk Coffee Creamers are poised to take the $2 billion creamer category by storm. Already, 25 percent of creamed cups of coffee are non-dairy, according to the National Coffee Association. However, the traditional non-dairy coffee creamers of old, featuring partially hydrogenated oils and artificial chemicals, don’t jibe with today’s health-conscious consumers. In particular, Millennials and Gen Xers, demographics that have been instrumental in propelling the double-digit growth of almond milk over the past year, are no longer willing to compromise on either taste or their health.
“Our creamers are an ultimate upgrade to a category that has steadily ignored the needs of today’s consumers,” said Greg Steltenpohl, Califia Farms’ CEO.
Unlike old-formula artificial non-dairy creamers, Califia Farms Almondmilk Coffee Creamers feature just three grams of sugar per serving and are free not only of dairy, but also soy, saturated fats, oils, GMOs and gluten.
Califia Farms Almondmilk products are re-inventing the alternative dairy category by delivering an unmatched premium beverage experience. The Almondmilks have already garnered numerous awards not only for their uniquely creamy taste but also for their beautiful, aspirational packaging.
Leading the charge to redefine almond milk as a premium experience that’s also attainable enough to be savored daily, Califia Farms tripled its revenues in the almond milk category from 2013 to 2014. And the category in general is exploding, representing 55% of the alt dairy sales while soy represents just 35%, and its growth is expected to continue into the foreseeable future, a shift that is likely to cross over to the creamer category. This is a striking counter to soy milk consumption which has been steadily on the decline over the past few years.
In addition to Whole Foods, Califia Farms premium Almondmilk Coffee Creamers are available in Vons, Gelson’s, Bristol Farms and Sprouts stores.
