Bessy’s Best Brings Natural Dairy To North Dakota

The dairy industry is an important one in North Dakota, helping support the local economy, and the end product is good for us, too. And one of North Dakota`s dairy producers is making its dairy products free of hormones and added ingredients.
When Bessy`s Best first started in Sterling, owners Blaine and Kathy Goetz only produced whole, white milk.
Today, they have nearly a dozen products on store shelves.
Take fresh milk, add some salt, vegetable rennet and a lot of work, and this lumpy, white, liquidy mess is on its way to becoming Farmhouse Cheese, which is like gouda cheese.
Blaine and Kathy Goetz have been making it for much longer than they`ve been selling it.
