As we all do our part in continuing to fight the pandemic and ensure public health, the American Dairy Products Institute (ADPI) Directors have made the difficult decision to pivot the 2021 ADPI/ABI Joint Annual Conference to a fully virtual event.
This year’s online gathering will feature a select group of industry-leading speakers, an award-winning keynote presenter, and allow attendees to interact with subject matter experts in a robust virtual platform, that will provide unique networking and learning opportunities. By gathering online all attendees will have the ability to join from the security of their workspace venue while listening to hot topics, asking questions, exchanging ideas and gaining valuable insight.
“We very much look forward to when we can again gather in person, for a safe and enjoyable Annual Conference. While this summer will be too soon for that given the many continuing uncertainties relative to the pandemic, we will not miss the opportunity to virtually interact in important conversations about the future of dairy ingredients and related products. We remain in an era of considerable change, challenges, and opportunities. Your ADPI looks forward to hosting meaningful presentations and ensuring discussions during the virtual event this August.” – Blake B. Anderson, ADPI President and CEO
The 2021 Virtual ADPI/ABI Joint Annual Conference is scheduled to span the course of 5 days from August 16 – 20. This format will feature “live sessions and panels” that will be designed for up to four hours per day, allowing for all attendees to continue in their regular work schedules. Registered attendees will also have the opportunity to watch sessions “on-demand.”
In true, ADPI/ABI Annual Conference fashion, this event will remain as “Where The Dairy Industry Does Business®” as the 2021 format will feature a “Virtual Exhibit Hall.” This virtual exhibit hall will allow exhibitors and attendees to instantly jump into live video/audio conversations straight from the virtual event portal – with no additional technology!
The ADPI/ABI Virtual Joint Annual Conference will still be a “L3 TM” (Listen, Learn, Liaise) socially interactive event, as the platform will also enable attendees to interact visually and chat publicly at any time. Attendees will also have the opportunity to engage in private conversations inside the portal during the event. These portals will enable attendees “24/5” access throughout the week.
Even though we were all looking forward to and hoping for a direct-facing meeting in 2021, the “silver lining” of a virtual event is that attendees will still receive all of the benefits of the ADPI/ABI Joint Annual Conference at a reduced cost when compared to travel expenses and the historical direct facing conference registration fees.
With a bright and challenging future ahead for all dairy ingredients and related product professionals, now is the best time to stay engaged and informed on the progression of the dairy ingredients and related products industry.
