During the week of August 26, the National Potato Council (NPC) led a delegation of 19 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) staff on a crop tour of New Jersey’s potato growing region. NPC's annual tour helps staff gain a better understanding of how the agency's policy decisions impact potato production and of the actions taken by growers to be good stewards of the environment.

PMA Fresh Summit Venue Near California Avocado Groves Is Eagerly Anticipated By Growers & Commission

The California Avocado Commission (CAC) is putting plans in place for the Produce Marketing Association (PMA) Fresh Summit that will be held in CAC’s “backyard” at the Anaheim Convention Center from October 17 through 19. With the venue so close to California avocado groves CAC expects many local growers to attend the show and will have a grower in the their booth to answer attendee questions about the growing practices of the fruit.
