Grocery giant Whole Foods Market will offer more products from Zak the Baker at its South Florida stores in an expanded partnership with the Miami bakery.
Zak the Baker, which recently relocated and expanded its space in the city's Wynwood Arts District, will collaborate with the Austin-based grocer (Nasdaq: WFM) to offer more artisanal items at Whole Foods locations in Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties. The new items include the bakery's country wheat, Jewish, multigrain, olive zataar and cranberry walnut hearth breads; and an exclusive specialty babka cake.
"Our partnership with Whole Foods Market is a beautiful example of a large national retailer and a small local craftsman coming together to bring out the best in each other," said Zak Stern, owner of Zak the Baker. "We provide fresh baked bread every morning to all the Whole Foods Market stores in South Florida, where they provide the highest-quality standards for a retail outlet. This collaboration allows us to stay focused on the craft."
