Tesco is doing away with in-store bakeries in a move affecting around 600 workers.

The supermarket giant is ditching the section in up to 100 of its branches in south west London, Surrey and Berkshire.

Fresh bread and bakery products will mostly be shipped in from a new facility in Weybridge, Surrey.

The factory will also produce artisan bread for sale in new Euphorium concessions opening in the stores.
