Mastroianni Bros. Bakery has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization, listing nearly $810,000 in debts owed to unsecured creditors. The filing was made Aug. 25 in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Albany.
The largest creditor was Ardent Mills, a Denver-based supplier with an office at the Port of Albany, owed $329,000.
CEO Warren Zeiser closed the bakery in early July after a deal with a potential buyer fell through, the Times Union reported at the time. Sales had been falling steadily, with revenues falling 18 percent, to $4.8 million in 2015 from $5.7 million a year earlier.
