Pittsburgh's 5 Generation Bakers Announces New Production Facility

After spending nearly two years scouting, 5 Generation Bakers is staying close to home as it grows.
Company founder Scott Baker said 5 Generation Bakers has closed on buying the former Bottom Dollar grocery store in McKees Rocks from discount grocer Aldi, which inherited the closed store as part of a corporate acquisition.
Baker said 5 Generation Bakers plans to move its wholesale bakery operation from its location on nearby Island Avenue into the empty store at 1100 Chartiers Ave. next year to accommodate a business that ranks among the fastest-growing in the Pittsburgh area.
