NOLA Attempts Baking World’s Largest King Cake

Louisiana is known for Mardi Gras and King Cakes. Now, one New Orleans bakery hopes to be known for making the world's largest king cake.
Haydel Bakery will attempt to break the record with a cake that will wrap twice around the outside of the Superdome.
Entertainment includes Dave Newman and the Band One, free water from Kentwood, free milk from Brown's Dairy, free coffee from PJ's, and a chance to win a prize including luxury hotel stays and Saints tickets.
The official slicing begins on Wednesday, September 22 at 12:00 pm. King Cake slice pickup is available from 12:00pm to 3:00pm.
