Taunton residents Lilly Rempel and Ramona Stuber Case are bringing a taste of their native Germany to the area with their recently launched business, Fraulein’s Bakery.
Apple strudel, chocolate babka, orange cakes, chocolate/rum cakes and delicate cookies such as jam-filled linzers are just a sampling of the sweet offerings the business partners are cooking up at the Dartmouth Grange’s shared-use kitchen.
From there, they sell them at three area farmers markets: Dartmouth, Randolph and Norwood. Eventually, the business partners are eyeing a wholesale operation in which their baked goods would be sold at markets. As they use all organic ingredients, with only a few exceptions, Rempel said they’d love to sell them at Whole Foods Markets. They also usually offer a vegan product at each farmers market.
