New Greenville, SC Wholesale Bakery Set To Open This Month

Wade Taylor has a sourdough starter that he’s been keeping alive for about three years now. And that means something delicious for Greenville.
The baker is set to turn his starter, along with other scratch ingredients, into a wholesale bakery in the Village of West Greenville. Bake Room will be a wholesale location for bread made in the traditional way.
That means high quality, freshly milled flours, naturally leavened breads and a German steam injected deck oven. And that last thing, that is a real game changer in terms of the bread Taylor plans to make. The oven injects steam into the baking process, effectively cushioning the effects of the heat to allow a loaf to achieve a perfectly crusty outside while maintaining a soft, and chewy center, explains Taylor.
