Millie Ray's Famous Rolls — a family-owned Birmingham bakery whose orange rolls are available at restaurants and grocery stores throughout the Southeast — is expanding its operations and moving into a new, 15,000-square-foot facility in downtown Birmingham, real estate firm J.H. Berry & Gilbert Inc. announced today.
The new space, at 2912 Rev. Abraham Woods Jr. Blvd., is nearly five times larger than Millie Ray's current location in Irondale, allowing for more office space and a larger production area that will enable the bakery to increase its production capacity, J.H. Berry said in a media release.
All of Millie Ray's operations will run out of this new location and the company expects to be fully moved in by this summer, according to the release.
