Slidell, LA – The Retail Bakers of America brings All Things Baking to Houston, Texas on September 9-11, 2012 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas.
Attendees are encouraged to take advantage of the broad range of educational classes and attend informational demonstrations during the three day event. On Sunday, September 9th at 7-9 p.m. and again on Tuesday, September 11th at 8- 10 a.m. Mike Terry, CMSA will lead a hands-on session “Creative Cutting Made Easy- Silhouette Basics”.
Decorating technology is a must in all bakeries. This session will show you how easy it is to work with decorating software and printing, allowing you to decorate amazing cakes in your bakery. You can reduce decorating time, create decorations that are too advanced to be created by hand, and lower your operating costs. Learn the basics of electronic cutting and edible printing with the Silhouette Cameo electronic cutter and an Icing Images edible printer. iiDesigns, a new edible printing designing program will also be introduced.

Chef Mike E. Terry is a CMSA (Certified Master Sugar Artist) and an internationally known Pastry Artist and Judge. With over 20 years experience as a respected instructor, Mike Terry has been featured in Slice and American Cake Decorating Magazine, appeared on TLC’S Ultimate Cake Off season 1 & 2 and taught many years at ICES (International Society of Cake Exploration). As a RBA approved instructor he has taught many demonstrations at international conventions and appeared at international bakery shows, IBIE, and IDDBA.
Mike Terry is an eight-time winner of the NC Food Dealers Show for Sculptures. He is well known for piping work of flowers and figures with non-dairy icings and buttercream icings. As well as the host of two DVD’s: Fun with Flowers 101, and Fun with Figures 201 and his latest video, Fat Buddies.
