Owner Regina Mason is expanding Virago’s reach into the wholesale and food service markets. Henning’s Market in Lower Salford is among the early believers, dedicating an entire freezer door to the locally-made baked goods.
Mason recalled two occasions when she offered free samples to Henning’s customers. “What was fun was when people tried gluten-free for the first time, and said: ‘Where is it? I want to take some of this home’,” she said.
Among the items you’ll find are gluten-free vanilla cupcakes with vanilla icing, gluten-fee French bread sandwich squares, and gluten-free and vegan bagels.
