Montreal – Lallemand Inc. was recently honored with the Orchidée Award for an Organization, conferred by the Chamber of Commerce of the East of Montreal. The award, accepted by Antoine Chagnon, Lallemand President and CEO, was presented at the ESTim Gala, which took place in Montreal last Thursday, May the 5th.
The Orchidée award is meant to recognize organizations and individuals who stand out for their implication in the development of the east of Montreal. It was established over 25 years ago as a means of highlighting a continuous leadership in and effective impact on the social and economic progress of this part of the Montreal Island.
“We have always wanted to honor our Montreal origins by keeping a close relationship with local social and non-profit organizations,” said Antoine Chagnon, CEO. “Furthermore, we chose to strengthen our bonds with the communities that surround our plants and factories, for example by opening our doors and inviting neighbors to see for themselves how yeast production takes place” he added. “We are very happy to receive the Orchidée Award for an Organization, which underlines the importance of maintaining these ties with the community. It is, ultimately, an award deserved by the Lallemand family as a whole,” he concluded.
