In Bimbo's Global Energy Race, Every Step Helps

MEXICO CITY  — In a spirit of solidarity and support for Mexico, today the Bimbo Global Energy Race will take place in 21 countries around the world.

Thanks to the more than 80,000 runners and walkers who signed up in all the host cities where the event is taking place, today's global race will translate into help for those who need it most:

  • For the second year in a row, for each kilometer run by participants, loaves of bread will be donated to food banks in each host city, a figure that this year came to more than 1 million loaves.
  • In solidarity with those affected by the recent earthquakes in Mexico, an amount equal to the total number of people registered in the races run today in Mexico will be donated to support the victims.

The Bimbo Global Energy Race is a global event that seeks to foster the adoption among the population of a healthy and active lifestyle, and also to bring families together.
