Winchester, VA – Last week, Icing Images updated its website to offer a brand new software feature to their home and retail baking and cake decorating customers. Template Designer is an icing sheet layout tool that will work with any brand of icing sheet allowing users to create a wide selection of icing sheet layouts, collages, and template printing for circle cut-outs.
Template Designer was created as an add-on tool for Icing Images’ free iPrint™ feature. Icing Images’ customers upload up to five photos to iPrint to print different images on an icing sheet and to enable printing on the various pre-cut Premium Icing Sheets™ used for applying edible photos to cupcakes, cookies, etc. Both tools work with any PC or Mac.
Template Designer has expanded the features of iPrint in three new ways:
1. Customers who prefer another brand of icing sheet besides Icing Images' own Premium Icing Sheets can now use iPrint to print on their sheets. They can simply use the Template Designer to measure the locations of the circles, give their template a name, and select it any time they need to print on that size icing sheet.
2. Using full size sheets (any brand), customers can design any layout, for example bars, squares, rectangles, strips, etc. of any size. Those images will print on the full size sheet for a collage effect, or if they want to manually cut out their printed images to be placed directly on custom sized cookies, chocolate bars, etc.
3. Customers can print on any pre-cut icing sheet sizes, for example, 4×6 photo size sheets. Even on custom sized sheets, customers can still design the layout of circles, rectangles, etc. to print on those sheets.
Template Designer is available by yearly subscription, but requires no fee to test out its features to see if it will be a useful tool. Subscribers can create an unlimited number of templates.
Template Designer requires proper setup of iPrint; there are easy to follow instructions that the first-time user. The greatest advantage to iPrint and Template designer is that there is no software to download and install. It runs right from the Icing Images website, so users can upload images on one computer and print using another. There is also an option to send images right to iPrint from a smart phone.
“We had numerous requests for further customization ability to iPrint and designed Template Designer to give our customers the flexibility they were looking for to use edible photos on a wider variety of cake, cookie and cupcake sizes.” – Deborah Coughlin, Icing Images owner.
