IBIE Unites Grain-Based Foods Industry Using Social Media

Washington D.C. – Baking professionals can now stay connected with the industry
between triennial IBIE show cycles on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. The IBIE
pages will allow fans, followers and members to stay up-to-date with industry
news, learn about new products and technology, share insights and experiences,
discusspressing issues and receive event updates.

The social media sites will also translate to the onsite experience at IBIE,
September 26-29, 2010, where computer kiosks will be available for participants
to access the sites. Television monitors will be located around the show floor
and lobby area with live Twitter feeds announcing show highlights, exhibitor
specials, seminar and event information and more. Furthermore, IBIE will offer
education sessions for those who are looking to learn more about social
networking.

Social media is an integral part of our long term strategy, said Rich Hoskins,
IBIE committee chairman. It enhances the face-to-face experience at the event
by allowing participants to create meaningful relationships prior to, during,
and after our event.
