On the heels of a record-breaking IBIE 2013, the American Bakers Association is pleased to announce the IBIE 2016 Committee baker members who will spearhead the industry’s efforts for another terrific show in three short years.
After an unprecedented multi-decade term on the IBIE Committee, ABA bids farewell to Jack Lewis, President of Lewis Bakeries, who is cycling off the Committee this year. Mr. Lewis will be replaced by current ABA Chairman and President of Pan-O-Gold Baking, Robin Alton.
ABA is also pleased to announce that Joe Turano, President of Turano Baking Company, will serve in the position of IBIE Committee Vice-Chair for the 2016 show. Joe has previously served on the IBIE Committee for the 2013 expo and his dedication and leadership proved invaluable to the show’s success.
The Committee will also be composed of the following baker members, who have been carefully selected to provide active participation by a complete cross section of the baking industry and ABA members:
- Mike Beaty, Executive Vice President – Supply Chain, Flowers Foods
- Rosalio Rodriguez, Executive Vice President, Grupo Bimbo
- Dave Watson, Vice President – Engineering, Campbell Soup Company
ABA looks forward to working with these leaders over the next three years and is confident their participation on the Committee will greatly benefit the success of future IBIE shows.
