Harvest Bakery Lands Suffolk IDA Support

The Suffolk County IDA approved a benefits package to assist an expansion of Harvest Bakery, a manufacturer of home-style bakery products for local vendors and wholesale distribution, at 865 Waverly Ave. in Holtsville.

The company plans to acquire the 24,000-square-foot building and renovate it for food preparation, manufacturing and bakery product storage.

Harvest was founded in a garage in Bohemia 18 years ago by Robert Marconti and Jose Gonzalez, who have since grown the company to include 23 employees. Currently located in a 12,000-square-foot leaseed space in Central Islip, the company needs additional room to provide for immediate and future expansion. With IDA assistance, the company plans to add an additional 10 jobs within two years.
