BROOKLYN, NY — Salt of the Earth Bakery, the breakout star that gave you The OMGCB and The Cookie is at it again! The family team of Chef Alexandra, husband Haskel, and his brother Joshua have been hard at work over the past two years growing and transforming the company. From expanding their regional and nationwide presence, to building a new, cutting edge facility, to developing mouthwatering new products – all while maintaining and surpassing their production standards to bring you the finest artisanal baked goods in award-winning packaging.
Two cookies are being added to the lineup: The Heavenly Oat, an out of this world combo of chewy oatmeal, chocolate discs, and warm spices, topped with a rapturous finish of Bali Rama Sea Salt; and The Good & Evil, a chocolate cookie with a devilishly good duo of white chocolate discs and juicy cherries, topped with a sprinkle of Maldon Sea Salt.
If Brownies are what you crave, look no farther than our two newest: Unleash your inner warrior with The Mayan, an epic pairing of chocolate, cayenne, cinnamon, and Halen Mon Sea Salt; and The Nutty One, an insanely delicious brownie with the perfect balance of chocolate, peanut butter, and Sel Gris for even the most serious sweet tooth.
In the past year, Salt of the Earth Bakery has also built and moved into its own, independently run, commercial baking facility in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn. Housed in the Old Pfizer Factory, our 2,200 square foot space accommodates every aspect of our production flow from recipe development, to baking, to packing, rendering us entirely self-sufficient.
The entire product line is all-natural, certified Kosher (OK-D), and uses Fair Trade certified chocolate.
Products from the Salt of the Earth Bakery lineup can be found at select Whole Foods Market locations, Balducci’s, Beecher’s Handmade Cheese and many other brick-and-mortar locations; web-grocers www.goodeggs.com and Amazon Fresh (NY Metro) fresh.amazon.com; online at www.thegrommet.com, www.scoutmob.com, www.manykitchens.com, and www.madeclose.com; and, of course at www.saltoftheearthbakery.com
And fear not – you won’t have to wait two years for the next delectable flavors. The next big release is just around the corner, so keep your mouths watering and your taste buds primed!
