When Bakeshop announced its closing late last fall, owner Jonathan St. Hilaire said, “I can promise that you’ll be able to find Bakeshop breads and pastries in Atlanta.”
Bakeshop kept its doors open until mid-January and now, true to St. Hilaire’s word, you can find his handiwork in Atlanta once more. He has partnered with the Tappan Street Group, which owns Taco Mac, to open St. Hilaire Bakeshop, a wholesale-only location.
For the last two months, the St. Hilaire Bakeshop has been providing all of the breads, about nine in total (burger buns, marble rye, ciabatta, etc.), for all of the Taco Mac locations in Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina.
You’ll also see St. Hilaire’s stamp on the new Taco Mac desserts, which will be unveiled with the new menus later this summer. You can expect to find his signature chocolate truffle cake, which, according to St. Hilaire, sold well last year when it was available at Taco Mac for a limited time. St. Hilaire says he’s also experimenting with some frozen yogurt desserts for the new menu.
