BRADENTON — Flowers Foods, the maker of breads and other food items, is eyeing 2.5 acres of unimproved property in East Bradenton for its newest warehouse distribution facility. which will include a discount bread/pastry store in the 700 block of Ninth Street East.
Bradenton officials Wednesday unanimously approved a special-use application for the warehouse portion of the project, which will also include a discount bread and pastry store, in the 700 block of Ninth Street East.
Jody Shirley, representing Sage Bradenton LLC, the agent for Central Plaza South LLC, the current property owner, said Wednesday's approval opens the door for Flowers Foods to begin negotiating to purchase the property.
