HYDE PARK — Busken Bakery will soon fry up 11,000 more donuts a day – double its current production – to stock 116 local United Dairy Farmers stores with fresh-baked goods for the first time.
A new partnership between the two iconic, family-run businesses will replace the Krispy Kreme offerings in UDF’s local stores with 10 varieties of Busken yeast and cake donuts and muffins. The first deliveries begin Monday.
It’s part of Busken’s ongoing effort to get its product in front of more local people. The partnership allows Norwood-based UDF to offer a coveted local breakfast item, upping its competition with the successful morning businesses of McDonald’s, Starbucks and Dunkin’ Donuts.
