Bread Alone In Lake Katrine Receives Small Business Excellence Award

ALBANY, N.Y. – Bread Alone, owned by Dan Leader and Sharon Burns-Leader and based in Lake Katrine, was awarded the 2017 Small Business Excellence Award at the U.S. Small Business Administration’s 19th Annual Small Business Excellence Awards luncheon in Albany on May 2.

Small businesses are selected for the Excellence Awards based on the company’s longevity, innovation, sales growth, increased employment, ability to overcome adversity or community contributions.

Bread Alone is a family-owned, values driven bakery, a press release said. The bakery has been baking with organic grains since 1983.
